Start with the Food-Contact Conditions
State the food type, whether contact is direct, fill and storage temperatures, contact duration, packing or sealing process, intended shelf life, destination market and required test or declaration. Material selection and evidence can then be reviewed against that defined scope.
Raw-resin certificates are supporting evidence only. They do not by themselves prove a finished bag, printing ink, adhesive or complete packaging system is suitable for a specific food, process or market.
What the Written Review Should Confirm
Contact scope — The actual food, direct- or indirect-contact use, temperature, duration, storage and destination market.
Construction and performance — Bag style, dimensions and tolerances, film requirement, closure, filling process and measurable acceptance tests.
Printing and evidence — Ink-contact side, final artwork, labeling, required declarations or test reports, and whether evidence must cover the finished package.
Commercial terms — Quantity per specification, packing, Incoterm, delivery point, quotation validity and separate production and logistics schedules.
Samples and release — Sample type, charges, courier terms, approved reference and the records required before production or shipment release.
Packaging Challenges in Food & Snacks
Moisture, oxygen, aroma, light, grease, puncture and seal integrity are different requirements. A PE bag should not be claimed to extend shelf life unless the complete package has been validated with the actual food, process, storage and test protocol.
Compare Bag Types Against the Same Requirement
Compare zip lock, flat and self-adhesive bags using the same food, contact conditions, fill and sealing process, thickness, printing, packing quantity and acceptance test. A zipper does not by itself prove freshness or barrier performance, and an adhesive strip does not by itself establish food-contact suitability.
