Start with the Product-Contact Scenario
State whether the PE bag directly contacts a formulation, holds a sealed product, or serves only as secondary packaging. Record the product dimensions, leakage or puncture risks, closure cycle, required clarity, packing method and storage conditions.
Name the destination market and the exact material, migration, restricted-substance, labeling or other evidence required. Raw-material certificates are supporting inputs; they do not by themselves establish finished-package or cosmetic-product compliance.
What the Written Review Should Confirm
Construction and dimensions — Bag style, usable space, closure, width, length and thickness basis, including tolerances.
Material and performance — The PE resin or blend and the agreed clarity, seal, puncture, leakage and contact requirements.
Printing and labels — Final artwork, color count, print area, warnings, barcode and approved proof.
Commercial terms — Quantity per specification, packing, Incoterm, destination, quotation validity and separate production and logistics schedules.
Samples and evidence — Sample type, representativeness, charges and courier terms, plus inspection or test records required before release.
Packaging Challenges in Cosmetics & Personal Care
Presentation, containment and regulatory scope are separate decisions. A bag that looks suitable may not meet a defined leakage, closure, direct-contact or labeling requirement. The RFQ should state which function is required and how it will be accepted.
Compare Bag Types Against the Same Requirement
Compare self-adhesive, zip lock and flat bags using the same packed product, contact scenario, opening cycle, closure test, film specification, artwork and packing quantity. A peel strip is not automatically tamper-evident, and a zipper does not automatically prevent liquid leakage; required performance must be specified and verified.
